Alien OG is an indica-dominant strain known to be very heavy and sedative. It is a cross of three power-house kush strains; Master OG, OG #18, and Platinum OG. Its buds are lime green and plump, with prominent orange hairs and a platinum coating thanks to an abundance of trichromes. What is THCA?
THCA is a natural cannabinoid found in hemp and cannabis. The precursor compound to THC, THCA naturally transforms into THC when exposed to high-enough temperatures or UV light. As a result, the effects of THCA are exactly the same as the effects of THC when used with most ingestion methods.
Effects of THCA
Before it transforms into THC, THCA only has lightly intoxicating effects. When this cannabinoid transforms into THC by the application of heat in the form of vaping or smoking, though, its effects become what you expect from THC. In short, you’ll feel stoned, and depending on the strain, you might also feel either slightly energetic or relaxed.
Is THCA legal?
The 2018 Farm Bill and subsequent explanations by the DEA make it clear that the only cannabinoid currently defined as “marijuana” under the Controlled Substances Act is delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol, the final and most common form of THC. As a result, THCA is considered to be industrial hemp, the same regulatory category as CBD or CBG.
